Scotland’s premier spoken word night Loud Poets presents an evening with Shane Koyczan!
The only Scottish stop on Shane’s 2026 UK tour, this is an unmissable opportunity to see one of the world’s most beloved spoken word poets live in performance. In addition to an hour-long set from Shane, the evening will feature support from Loud Poets 2024 Grand Slam Champion EmmaClaire Brightlyn.
Shane Koyczan is an internationally-acclaimed spoken word poet from Penticton, Canada. He is a former U.S. Slam Champion and winner of the Canadian Spoken Word Olympics. In 2010 he performed at the Opening Ceremonies for the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
His words have touched millions internationally, with his poem ‘To This Day’ going viral to the tune of over 25 million views. Shane’s first collection ‘Visiting Hours’ won Best Book of the Year from The Guardian and The Globe and Mail. He has also released a novel in verse, ‘Stickboy’ (in collaboration with the Vancouver Opera), and the graphic novel ‘Silence is a Song I Know All the Words To.’ His most recent collection, ‘Barely Amazing,’ was published to acclaim in 2024.
