My name’s Josh. I’m a guitar and piano teacher living in North Melbourne, and I’m taking new students!

I’ve been a professional pianist, guitarist, and composer since 2010, in both Europe and Australia. I’ve performed everywhere from Aux Trois Mailletz in Paris to the Arts Centre in Melbourne. Just in 2018, I’ve written and performed music for everyone from the National Gallery of Victoria to shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to the annual conference of the Australian potato industry.

I am registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and hold a Graduate Diploma in Education and music certifications from AMEB, as well as tutor training from DEECD and a Working with Children's Check. I’ve been teaching music since 2010, and I understand how to conduct efficient, in-depth learning in this one-on-one context.

My current students range from teenagers to seniors, from beginners to seasoned professionals. Some learn jazz, some learn classical, some learn pop – some learn a range of genres, and some learn composition.

I host lessons at my home in North Melbourne, where I have lived since March with my wife Sandy and our friend Kate. I have a digital piano, acoustic and electric guitars, recording equipment, and a music library.
